I'm very sad that I still have not gotten a chance to use this Bronica yet, but hopefully when I get it back I can take some good pictures to contribute to this group. Thanks for all the help, i'm sending the body back today along with the back just in case, the people said they would check both out and send me back a body and back in working order. Those teeth should lock securely and only release if you press the button on the left side of the body. After 3 failed attempts (Pentacon Six with a bad shutter, Bronica SQ with a dead shutter, Bronica SQ-B with dead Electronics) I finally found a Bronica SQ-A in like-new condition for a decent price and bought it. I agree with Travis, as long as the teeth on the back look OK, I'd guess it's the spring-loaded part on the body that is the issue. At the time he was shooting mainly a Bronica SQ-Ai, and his shots blew me away, I knew I had to get a 6×6 SLR. So you think its in the back not the body? it attaches, but the bottom pops out pretty easily The only thing I could think is that the little spring loaded bit that grabs onto a notch in one of those teeth is broken and not grabbing. Once these are seated correctly you push on the bottom of the back to lock it into place. To attach the back, you have to insert the top curved little teeth into the top of where the back attaches first.

Originally posted at 5:08PM, 30 April 2007 PST Am I doing something wrong? Is the back defective or the body defective? Can anyone shine some light on this problem. I have a 220 SQ-i back and i connect it to the body, it clicks in, but i can pull it off pretty easily. Ok so I just got a Bronica SQ-A, everything seems to be working fine as of now, except the back.
